Sony PSP | Invizimals The Lost Tribes I’m very happy I can finally ad this to the reel! Here’s the ad currently running in Europe for Invizimals: The Lost Tribes. This was a great shoot which turned a British garden into a jungle and created an arctic snowstorm in a basement! Shot on RED by Michael Costelloe. Production: MCTV. Agency: Love Creative.
Here’s the first of three new Sony PSP commercials airing in the UK and Europe. Shot in multiple locations around Manchester on RED in one day. This commercial features the new PSP-E1000 console which actually wasn’t available when we shot on location. We originally shot with the older console. I also shot background plates of the action during the location shoot and then shot the newer console on green screen in a studio later. DoP: Michael Costelloe. Post production: 422. Agency: Love. Production: Mercedes Crescenti TV.
Some recent work… Cadbury World commercial.
Housing Units: The Sequel. See the first one I did here: http://www.vimeo.com/9019191
Another ad from The Car(t) Shop campaign I directed…
Sony PSP | Toy Story 3 - A commercial I directed for Sony PSP and the Toy Story 3 campaign. Aired internationally. All of the FX were achieved in camera!
(Update) The Cart Shop wins Best Integrated Campaign! I’ve just been informed that my commercials and the campaign (created by the lovely folk at JDA) for The Car Shop have won a gongs at this year’s Cream Awards. Above is the latest commercial from the campaign. You can see others (and the hilarious virals on the website) Enjoy!
My commercial for Edge Hill University
Here’s the launch film I directed, cut and graded for the all new Vauxhall Astra produced by Square Zero and for agency TRO.
It was shot on RED over two days on location in and around London. I’m used to having a few hours and a digibeta shooting cars for Fifth Gear so having a few days (even though that was a tight schedule), shooting with prime lenses and getting some great footage around London on a crane attached to a tracking vehicle was a nice luxury. We caused a few traffic jams shooting it but, hey, Londoners are used to a bit of traffic!
This is the director’s cut. It’s pretty similar to the main cut except I’ve cut a few sequences which made this an interactive film. It was designed so users could upload a photograph to a website and become a part of the film.
Alongside this film, I shot a four-minute-one-shot stunt sequence on a 360 degree camera to create a ‘virtual test drive’ where users could wear a set of goggles and become the point-of-view of a stunt driver on a movie set. It was a head scratcher to figure out but a great challenge. This ‘test drive’ is currently touring the UK so if you see an Astra in a shopping centre go and check it out… you’ll even see me acting!
I’ve just shot the new commercial for Edge Hill University. Here are a few “twitpics” from the two day shoot.
